SUMMARY:Remembering Tom Nash
DESCRIPTION:Thomas J. Nash Jr. – Proud Vietnam War veteran\, served with long-range patrol unit\, had career in Prudential\, financial services\, commodities trading \n\n\n\n On Sunday April 25th\, 2021\, Thomas J Nash Jr of Kearny entered into eternal rest at the age 75. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Dianne (nee Grajewski)\, brothers James M\, Phillip C. and Anthony F\, Sister Wennie Minguito and step mother Marianita Nash. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter Kimberly Anne Nash in 2003 and his parents Thomas J Nash Sr & Charlotte (nee Schweitzer) and siblings Michael E Nash and Ann Marie Crefeld. He was also survived by many nieces\, nephews\, in-laws\, cousins and loving friends and also survived by Karen Zaramba who was his best friend and long time business partner. \n\n\n\nTommy attended Essex Catholic HS\, completed undergraduate studies at Fairleigh-Dickinson University and his Master’s in Business Administration at Seton Hall University. He was a Sergeant in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Long-Range Reconnaissance Patrol (LRRP)\, The 196th Light Infantry Brigade (E Company (airborne)\, 51st infantry (long range patrol). Tom was very proud that he was a Vietnam Veteran and participated in many organizations.  \n\n\n\nAfter the military\, Tom began his career at Prudential Insurance Company. Following Prudential\, Tom founded the institutional consulting firm – Zaramba-Nash Financial Services. In 2000\, Tom joined Beacon Management Corporation\, a commodities-trading advisor based in Princeton\, NJ from which he retired.  \n\n\n\nSome of Tom’s many accomplishments/awards and affiliations are: A Charter member and past-President of the Long-Range Reconnaissance Association\, Member of the Kearny Museum society\, Kearny Voice Outreach Coordinator along with Bill Sweeny; Grand marshal of the Kearny Memorial Day parade\, Kearny Veteran of the year\, Bestowed Order of Saint Maurice medal from the National Infantry Association\, Member of American legion Post #99. He was a founding Board member of “Fast Folk Musical Magazine” and an accomplished amateur sports photographer\, especially futbol and Formula 1 racing\, and had many photos published in magazines.  \n\n\n\nHe was admired for his dedication and commitment to helping others and will be sorely missed by his entire family and those who had the privilege of knowing him
